Red Barn Studio

Located in Lindsborg, Kansas, The Red Barn Studio was the working studio of professional artist and craftsman Lester Raymer (1907-1991). Now maintained by the Raymer Society for the Arts, a non-profit (501(c)3) organization, the Studio is filled with Raymer’s works: paintings, prints, ceramics, metalworks, woodcarvings, stichery, furniture and jewelry. His work is influenced by his love for the world’s greatest painters, especially the Spanish masters, the Southwest and Mexico, religious symbolism and folkart.

Today, The Red Barn Studio is a museum, open to the public. Information can be found at www.redbarnstudio.org. Each year since 2004, Sandy Milroy spends several weeks as Artist-in-Residence at the Studio. Look here for more information about her activity there this coming September.
